It hasn't taken long to get fit again and there are no excuses to train hard with summer now here in New Zealand.
My first race back will be the New Zealand Half Ironman Championships in Tauranga on January 3rd and it will be nice going into this race with no Ironman behind me after not competing in Hawaii for the first time in 13 years. I've had some great success there in the past with 9 wins so it would be great to make it to the magical 10 mark!
After that I have the Asia-Pacific 70.3 Championships in Auckland on January 19th where a fantastic field will assemble. Then it's Ironman New Zealand time again on March 1st so it will be total focus towards the 30th Anniversary of this iconic event. As always I'll be in touch soon to let you know how the training is progressing.
