Tim Roe of S&L leads AU National Series

Tim Roe has taken the lead in the National Road Series through a powerful win at Mussellbrook, New South Wales.
It was a 'day out' for Savings & Loans with Will Dickeson finishing 2nd in a 2 man S&L breakway over the final 15km of the race.
Mussellbrook is part of the National Road Series, a 160km Open race and with over 130 starters is classed as one of the more competitive events on the calendar.
The race unfolded at the 90km mark when Roe and Dylan Newal managed to bridge across to the early break of the day. Roe then attacking the break to ride solo just as the main filed reeled in the leaders.
Roe putting in a super time trial performance for 40km, when Dickeson then attacked the main field on the final climb of the day to ride across to Roe and finish the race togther 1st and 2nd.
"Having just returned from Korea, we knew we were going to have the legs today to put in a strong performance" explained Dickeson.
"It was a great feeling when I turned around and saw Will riding across to me after being out on my own for so long" said Roe. "Taking the win today means a lot to me and the team and now having the overall lead in the National Road Series, we're going to do everything to hold onto it".
The team now prepares for the Tour of Gippsland that begins on the 30th July. A four day Tour, the event includes 5 criteriums and 3 road stages that is bound to suite riders with a fast finish.
"We'll be taking a full squad to Gippsland to hopefully deliver another great result, and I'm also looking forward to the return of Joel Pearson". explained Team Manager, Steve Cunningham
