Product Recall

Please note the following details regarding an Australia and New Zealand wide product recall from the Avanti Bicycle Company.
Models affected:
• Avanti ABD Derelikt 1, 2010 & 2011
• Avanti ABD Derelikt 2 2011
• Avanti ABD Derelikt 3 2011
• Avanti ABD Derelikt LTD 2010
• Avanti Solo Flat 2010 & 2011
• Avanti Solo Drop 2010
• Scott Voltage YZ.1
• Scott Voltage YZ.2
Models purchased from July 1 2009.
Defect:
The above models of bicycles have not been supplied with chain guards as per the requirements of the Pedal Bicycle mandatory standard.
Potential hazard:
In the absence of a chain guard, entrapment of clothing or body parts could occur in between the upper junction of the chain and chain wheel.
What to do:
Consumers should stop riding the bicycles immediately and contact Avanti Bicycle Company to be directed to the nearest authorised dealer to have a chain guard fitted.
