How has the time flown by and we are only 2 sleeps away from getting amongst international crews at the 3rd and final World Rowing Cup.

After one of the toughest days I have had in rowing yesterday (Saturday), to come out today and to perform how we did, it feels bloody satisfying. In the heat of the day, pushing 30 degrees, we went out there to perform and commit.
I wish I had thought of this a bit more in the days leading up to the Cairns 70.3, but I guess complacency and 20ish years of good mechanical luck lead me to make a few simple, but costly, errors.
Time has come again that we are now on the door step of our first international competition of the 2014 season.
My last Ironman win was back in 2011 at Ironman New Zealand on a day where it rained the entire day. Yesterday at the Cairns Airport Ironman it rained the whole day, the high only reached 20°c which was one of the coolest in history up here.
