Alison Shanks
World Champion Cyclist
Alison turned to cycling in 2005 from NZ national grade netball and in her short time in the saddle on the world stage she has some very impressive results with no sign of slowing.
Alison joined the Avanti ranks in 2009 with a goal to gain every advantage she can out of her equipment. Alison rides a quiver of bikes to cater for all scenarios including the new Chrono Evo II for time trails and the Pista Evo II for the track as well as testing some bikes in development.
Her focus is well and truly on the London 2012 Olympics with the only colour wanted to adorn her neck being gold.
